Hearing on extended liquor hours offers public chance to weigh in (Seattle Times)
The Washington State Liquor Control Board will take testimony Monday morning about Seattle’s request to let local jurisdictions in Washington set their own hours for liquor service. State law currently prohibits liquor sales between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Seattle parking-meter rates: prices in some neighborhoods going up, others going down (Seattle Times)
The parking techs at Seattle DOT are out rejiggering 1,900 paystations to reflect new 2012 rates and time limits. Pioneer Square is staying the same at $3.50 and a two hour time limit, Pioneer Square “edge” is going down to $3.00 from $3.50.

28,000 customers lose power in Seattle (KIRO)
Several Seattle neighborhoods lost power Friday afternoon, affecting some 28,000 customers, Seattle City Light said. City Light said the outages stretched from Rainier Valley, to Beacon Hill to Capitol Hill. KIRO 7 Twitter followers also reported outages in the International District and Pioneer Square.
